$10 Haircut Day, Helps Community Links
Airdrie, AB - Monday November 15, 2010 - On Monday November 15th The Hair Lounge will be opening its doors to the first ever $10 Hair Cut Day. The salon will be open from 1pm – 7pm and accepting clients on a first come, first serve basis. 100% of proceeds will be donated to Community Links.
The salon will have eight senior stylists working non-stop from 1pm – 7pm, along with the help of two cosmetology students from Bert Church High School. The stylists have been looking for a way to give back to their community and thought what better than to use their two hands and a pair of scissors. The stylists will be donating their time which means that every cent that comes in will go straight to Community Links. The Hair Lounge will only be accepting cash payments and in addition there will also be a donation box for those individuals who would like to make an extra contribution. This day also gives everyone in Airdrie the opportunity to get a professional hair cut at a great price.
Community Links was one of the first organizations that came to mind when creating this event. The organization does not target just one type of individual, but rather the entire family, and this is not just an organization the stylists have read about but rather have experienced firsthand. This is their way of saying thanks for everything Community Links has done for Airdrie and the community.
